Just a quick update for those interested in participating in this year’s volunteer project, and a “cc:” to last year’s participants.  Continuity Cares is a “go” again for this year, although the exact projects have not yet been finalized.  I have plans to meet with Fire Chief Tim McConnell, the New Orleans Recovery School District, and various parish offices later this month to evaluate and determine the right projects for our group.

If you have not already, be certain to visit and complete the survey at: http://www.questionpro.com/akira/TakeSurvey?id=855355, so that we can keep you updated on the various projects.  Also, the Sheraton Hotel has been gracious enough to again extend a 50 percent discount on hotel room rates ($99/night) for volunteers on those nights that coincide with our work dates (nights of May 7, 8 and/or 9, 2008).  To ensure that you receive this special rate for those nights only, please email me with your requested nights so that your name can be added to the Volunteer Rooming List.
