Crimando Discusses Crowd, Mob Psychology at ACP Event

The New York City Metro Chapter of the Association of Contingency Planners hosted its November meeting at Rabobank on Thursday, Nov. 20.  The event featured a presentation by Steve Crimando about crowd and mob behavior and violence and how they can have a negative effect on businesses.

Facebook Introduces 'Safety Check' Feature

Facebook has introduced a new feature, called “Safety Check,” which will allow its users to check in with their status during a disaster.  Users who sign up will receive push notifications when disasters strike in their area and can respond by saying they are okay or not in the area.  The response would then be transmitted to their contacts.
