Crisis Team Leadership Development is a three-day course that teaches public and private sector leaders how to work in a team and make clear decisions under extreme conditions, and how to manage problems that develop when managing crisis events.
Attendees will be placed in realistic crisis situations within a structured learning environment. Early in the course, a crisis scenario will unfold in sequence with classroom-style lectures, discussions, and small-group interaction.
As the course progresses, scenario-related events of increasing complexity, threat, and pressure occur. The course culminates in an exercise designed to test participant knowledge, awareness, flexibility, leadership, decision making, and interpersonal skills under extreme pressure in the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) environment.
Participants are challenged to use the new ideas, skills, and abilities in addition to their own knowledge and experience. In this way, CMC 4030: Crisis Team Leadership Development allows individuals to rehearse their real-life roles in realistic crisis situations, while at the same time identifying additional planning needs.
CMC 4030 uses a powerful inter-active approach to help leaders figure out what's important and what's not when making a decision. Participants will leave with clear, useful strategies and techniques for analyzing situations and making difficult decisions with limited time, information, and resources.
