100 Volunteers Urgently Needed In New Brunswick, NJ
NEW YORK-NEW JERSEY (October 29, 2012) – As hurricane Sandy bears down on the Tri-State region, World Cares Center (WCC) is coordinating unaffiliated volunteers and volunteer groups who wish to help. Currently there is an urgent need for volunteers to assist Shelter Operations in New Brunswick NJ for morning shifts.
Those wishing to help should simply fill out the madatory fields on the volunteer application form at http://www.worldcares.org/content/get-involved/volunteer?q=content/get-involved/volunteeer/volunteer-application. Mention "Assist shelter operations" in one of the optional text boxes.

World Cares Center, formed in the aftermath of September 11, 2001 is a critical organization for the emergency response community, providing training programs for community leaders to organize volunteers in times of crisis. WCC also trains grassroots organizations and individual citizens with specialized emergency preparedness programs for seniors and youth. WCC’s training and volunteer coordination efforts and cleanup were instrumental to the recovery from Hurricane Irene.
