HBO Seeks Manager of Crisis Management
Responsible for managing the day-to-day aspects of HBO’s Crisis Management Program which includes overseeing the alert notification system and the communication protocols set forth by the Crisis Command Team. This role requires heavy involvement with planning and executing HBO’s evacuation drills while partnering with HBO Security. The Manager will assist in establishing appropriate preparedness efforts to sustain the protection of HBO employees.

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for managing the day-to-day aspects of HBO’s Crisis Management Program which includes overseeing the alert notification system and the communication protocols set forth by the Crisis Command Team. This role requires heavy involvement with planning and executing HBO’s evacuation drills while partnering with HBO Security. The Manager will assist in establishing appropriate preparedness efforts to sustain the protection of HBO employees.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee HBO’s Crisis Management Program which includes:
· Performing situational assessment and development of action plans for building crisis events (i.e.: floods, power failures, etc.). Coordinate internal HBO resources (i.e.: Health Center, Security, Facilities Operations), as needed.
· Manage the emergency notification system, Send Word Now.
· Facilitate Crisis Command Team activations, as needed.
· Participate with HBO Security on the planning, execution and assessment of evacuation drills.
· Monitor events around the world, alerting the Crisis Assessment Team (CAT) of any risk to HBO’s domestic or international businesses.
· Participate on the TW Corporate Business Continuity Team, as appropriate.
· Oversee maintenance of Crisis Command Team contact information and ensure timely distribution.
· Support the HBO “go bag” program, arranging for replacement supplies, as needed.
· Conduct periodic equipment check (Blackberry, Walkie Talkie, BCP Binder) with CCT Leaders.
· Assist the Director in preparing for Crisis Command Team (CCT) Steering Committee Meetings.· Participate in facilitation of the Quarterly Pandemic Council.
· Assist the Director in the development of integrated table top rehearsals. Facilitate rehearsals with CCT.
· Assist the Director in developing awareness campaigns and managing any special projects including the Business Impact Assessment (BIA) or Business Continuity Program Management (BCP).
· Coordinate assessments with HBO’s commercial property insurance provider and oversee resulting action plans.
· Participate in the crisis management software implementation and provide ongoing maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS
· Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; Crisis Management and/or Business Continuity experience a plus.
· BS/BA degree strongly preferred.
· Strong team building and collaboration skills.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Proven ability to work with and present to employees at all levels of the organization.
· Must be available to work evening and weekend hours, as needed should a CCT event occur.
· Certifications in DRII (CBCP, MBCP), BCI, and/or PMP a plus.
