Addressing the Escalating Cost of a Data Breach

The cost of the average data breach in the U.S. skyrocketed this year, reaching $8.64 million, more than double the global average of $3.86 million, according to IBM’s “2020 Cost of a Data Breach” report.

The IBM report also pinpoints the reason behind these costly enterprise data breaches – employee error which leads to compromised accounts, and compromised accounts are exploited resulting in data breaches.
